The Keto diet is well-known among dieters who want a low carb, no sugar foods. Of the many foods, the keto broccoli salad is not only easy but full of flavor too. Even people who might not enjoy eating salads, would probably enjoy eating this yummy salad. Here’s how you make it.
Keto Broccoli Salad Recipe Step By Step
Ingredients
- 2 Broccoli heads – use only tops
- 4 strips of cooked and chopped bacon
- ½ diced red onion
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup salted sunflower seeds
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise (vegan mayo can be substituted) (use sour cream as alternative)
- 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar or fresh lemon juice
Making the salad
- Make the dressing first and set aside. Mix the mayo and the apple cider vinegar in a small bowl and set aside.
- Cut the broccoli heads into small florets. Steam lightly.
- After it cools, add the cheese, bacon, sunflower seeds and diced onion to the broccoli in a bowl.
- Add the dressing and mix well.
- Set the bowl in the fridge and let it sit for an hour so that the flavors have time to blend.
- Serve alone or enjoy with other food.
