Sometimes, all you need is a Mojito…
Mojito is a very special and easy cocktail to make any time of the year, and specially in the summer. Now that we can feel the warm weather and the summer is just around the corner, It gives us more reasons to make some Mojitos to enjoy them with friends or family, by the pool, in a girls evening or for a Sunday barbecue.
What about making a different Mojito?
Strawberries can be found in every supermarket in the summer season and sometimes we buy them but we never remember to eat them, so if you have some strawberries in your kitchen, make sure you keep them because you are about to add some extra yummy flavour to your Mojito.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of white sugar
- 1/2 lime
- 2 sprigs of peppermint
- 50 ml white Rum
- 100 ml aromatic Soda water or Sparkling water
- strawberries
- 4 crushed ice cubes

Preparation:
- In the glass you are going to serve the Mojito, you mix the sugar and the lime juice with a spoon.
- Mash the peppermint sprigs and blend the strawberries, then add them to the same glass that you used for mixing the lime juice and the sugar.
- Add the rum and mix it all again, then add the ice and your soda water.
- You can decorate your Mojito with some more strawberries or peppermint sprigs.
You can either use soda water or sparkling water, however, if you want to give your Mojito a bit of colour and a nicer flavour, you can use an aromatic or flavoured soda water or sparkling water.
