The following sausage lasagna recipe is quite easy to make. You will love not only its easy cooking process but also the result.
Ingredients
- 12 pieces of uncooked lasagna noodles
- Two tbsp olive oil
- One pack of ground sausage (16 ounce)
- One onion
- Two chopped garlic cloves
- One jar of marinara sauce
- Four cups of cottage or ricotta cheese
- One egg
- Two and half cups of Italian shredded cheese blend
- Two cups of chopped spinach
- One tbsp dried oregano
Preparations and Making
Take a large pot and pour sufficient water to cook pasta. Put some salt into it. Cook your pasta in this salted water until it is al dente. Drain the water, oil it lightly and put it aside. Cook the sausage in a pan until it loses its pink color. Add garlic and onion, and cook it for four minutes. Add marinara sauce to this mixture and set it aside. Take a bowl and place cheese, egg, chopped spinach and quarter cup of cheese blend in it. Blend this mixture well and set it aside.
Grab a baking dish and coat it with olive oil. Spread one cup of sauce mixture in it. Top it with three lasagna noodles. Spread one quarter of the cheese mix on the noodles. Place one layer of this mix on one cup of sauce mixture. Sprinkle half cup of cheese blend on it. This process should be repeated at least three times. Start with the noodles while ending with remaining quarter cup cheese blend. Sprinkle oregano on top of it. Bake it for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F. Do not cover it during this process. Once it becomes bubbly and hot, it is ready to take out. Leave it aside for 10 minutes and then cut it to serve.
