How to Make an Easy Carrot Cake?
When it comes to baking your favorite cake, we all have our preferences. Carrot Cake is that one variation that generally appeals to all and suits every celebration mood. Let us break the Carrot Cake recipe into easy steps to make its preparation both simple and enjoyable. So, let’s start with the recipe straight away.
Instructions:
- Preparing the Batter – This is the most sensitive step and you cannot afford to go wrong with this. The better the batter, the tastier and softer the cake will be. For the batter, mix the wet ingredients, which are butter (softened or melted), eggs (as many required), and sugar. Add a little oil at this stage. Give a nice whisk and keep beating the batter until it’s frothy and light in texture. Put in a few drops of vanilla essence for that aromatic indulgence.
- The next step is to mix the dry ingredients properly to ensure that there are no lumps. This will include flour( as per measurement), baking soda and baking powder, and salt and cinnamon to taste.
- Keep fresh carrot grated properly.
- Now, the next step is to add the dry mixture gradually and slowly to the wet batter. Make sure that you keep stirring the batter and mix in the dry ingredients to avoid the formation of lumps.
- Now, add the freshly grated carrots to the batter. You can make the cake as rich as possible by adding in your favorite dry fruits and nuts. Let your taste buds decide on this.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Pour the ready cake batter into a nicely greased cake pan. You can divide the batter into two halves and bake separately in two pans to have a layered carrot cake of your choice.
- Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes. And once you are done with your toothpick checking to ensure the cakes are properly baked, turn off your oven. Allow 15 minutes cooling time.
- Your soft, sweet, spongy, and mouth-watering carrot cake is ready.
- Decorate it with your choice of frosting and icing or simply garnish with nuts and raisins.
