Lovely Picnic Spots in Paris for a Romantic Day

Paris, One of The Nicest Cities for Picnics
To have a Paris-perfect day, you need to pack your hamper and head out for a picnic. The city has a huge cultural and architectural history. It has many beautiful gardens overlooking the Eiffel Tower and other monuments that provide some great spots for a day out with family, friends and the person who stole your heart. Apart from the usual picnic spots, there are some great small and less usual picnic spots. They are the best place for a quiet and scenic picnic.

The View
If you are looking for a great view, then Paris has some breathtaking spots to offer. Check out Square Du Vert-Galant on the river Seine. This park looks like a tiny teardrop and is all about the views. From here, you can have a great panoramic view of the Louvre, Paris Mint, and Iconic bridges (Pont DES Arts and Pont Neuf). It’s a great place to watch the Parisian sunset with a sip of sparkling wine. You can also have a delicious brunch here, and the stunning Gothic chapel Sainte-Chapelle is also nearby. Another great place if you are all about the views is Parc de la Turlure in Montmarte. It’s the local’s favourite green space. This park offers a great view of the Sacre Coeur. The park is officially named Square Bleustein-Blanchet.
Alfresco Dining
Parc de la Turlure, mentioned before, is also a great place for an alfresco dinner with Paris’s most iconic views. If you are looking for a leafy spot for a relaxing alfresco, check out Arenes de Lutece. It’s a great place and a heritage site where you can enjoy your alfresco meal in Roman style while sitting on the steps of a Roman theatre. Another great open spot is Parc de Belleville. It’s the highest park in Paris. It is situated close to Parc Buttes Chaumont, and both are some of the best spots for a picnic with alfresco dining. Being a small park, Parc de Belleville attracts fewer crowds and is the perfect place to have a laid-back afternoon with a great view.
Secluded Areas
Sometimes picnic means a quiet and peaceful afternoon with loved ones. If you are looking for something like that, check out Jardin Des Rosiers. It’s a hidden gem of Paris and a peaceful picnic spot. It’s a great place to have a quiet lunch on the grass and even take a quick nap. Another great place for peace lovers is Bois de Boulogne. It’s the largest park in Paris and used to be a hunting ground for the King of France. Now it’s a huge place for outdoor relaxation. You can find many spots here away from the crowd.
