Spicy Watermelon Cocktail recipe

A spicy watermelon Margarita is one of the most trendy and asked for beverage during both the summer season as well as the Chilly Winters! How you ask? Well, imagine yourself sipping onto a freshly curated spicy watermelon margarita at the beach during the hot summer or chilling and sipping around a bonfire retreat with your friends!

Now is the time to satisfy all your margarita cravings so far with one of the best, most exotic fruits of the season! This recipe is the most demanded one amongst the youngsters and ‘gen-z’ as we call it.

These margaritas primarily require you to scoop out the melon or add medium sized chunks of it into a blender for a strong stir. After this, the melons will turn into a smooth juice with a good consistency. You might want to keep stirring up the juice if you want to sustain the pulp in the drink otherwise, let it settle down.

It is also significant that you keep the quality of your cocktail on priority as it would directly be affected from the quality of the watermelon you use. So, it’d be best if you find a fresh, and crisp watermelon from the town if you want the best experience at relishing the cocktail.

Ingredients:

• Deseeded Watermelon juice

• A dash of kosher salt to taste

• Some Ancho chili powder(preferred) or regular chili powder

• Medium sized Lime wedges

Ingredients per glass of cocktail:

• Take 30 ml of fresh deseeded watermelon juice

• 20-25 ml of tequila,( 100% agave silver or Blanco tequila suits best)

• 8 ml of freshly squeezed lime juice

• 15 ml of freshly squeezed orange juice

• half a teaspoon of agave nectar or any other syrup (you can adjust the syrup quantity as per your taste)

• 1 piece of thinly sliced jalapeño (¼th inch wide, a little goes a long way!)

• Optional garnish: 1 tiny triangular watermelon wedge

Instructions:

1. Put watermelon scoops or chunks in a blender and churn it until nice and smooth. You can separate the pulp from the juice to experience an even smoother and clear glass of cocktail

2. Now, top up a cocktail shaker/mixer with lots of ice and add some watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and agave nectar. Finally, top them up with Jalapenos or red chilis!

3. Pour the blend into a tall margarita class and Cheers!
